Hello All

I recently installed Redhat 9 on my new HP Pavilion a367c desktop pc.
This machine comes equipped with a wireless keyboard and mouse, which
connect via a single USB receiver unit. The left, right, and middle
mouse buttons on the wireless mouse do not work. The mouse wheel DOES
work.

I have tried using loadkeys and xmodmap to change the keycode
assignment for the buttons, to no avail. Various people have had
similar problems to this, but none of their posts have worked for me.

When I am at a system console (ie. not within X itself), pressing the
wireless mouse buttons generates the following messages:

keyboard.c: can't emulate rawmode for keycode 284 [left
button]
keyboard.c: can't emulate rawmode for keycode 286 [middle
button]
keyboard.c: can't emulate rawmode for keycode 285 [right
button]

It seems that xmodmap only allows keycode mappings to be setup for
keycodes in the range 0..255. Where does that leave the keycodes
above??

I would like to get this mouse working properly. Can anyone suggest
how to update my RH9 configuration?

Many thanks,

Andrew.
