Can't get pictures from my digital camera.

I'm using Fedora 2 and can't get pictures off my Pentax Optio s40.
The software that comes with it doesn't have the camera listed.

I don't mind using my USB card reader to remove them but I don't know
how to use one with linux.

I'd like to get both working. How do I do it?
