usb pendrive not recognized after kernel update in Fedora 3

I installe Fedora Core 3 and a usb pendrive was recognized when plugged,
but after updating from kernel 2.6.6 to 2.6.10 the pen was not recognized,
so what option in the make xconfig is missed to overcome this behavior?
