Has anyone come across a program that helps with the configuration of
iptables - by asking questions and then generating the file according to
your responses?

I never looked. I found emacs was good enough. Plus a good textbook. I
recommend "Red Hat Linux Firewalls" by Bill McCarty. You can almost copy
his examples from Chapter 9 or Chapter 10, depending on what you need. The
book is not limited to Red Hat distributions.

And shorewall, http://www.shorewall.net/. The configuration file is very
easy to understand. It can turn your linux box to a router/bridge.

NT stands for New Technology. Windowds NT(NT4.x)/2K(NT5.0)/XP(NT5.1)
was built on NT Technology. Anyone understands what "new" means, so
everyone knows M$ Windows NT/2K/XP/Whatever is a *real* innovation.
