Focus following pointer in Gnome
|

| A co-worker recently switched from what I think was Solaris, to using
FC with the Gnome desktop. He was disappointed to discover that if he
has multiple apps open, he has to click on each window to get the
focus to follow. According to him, he had his previous desktop
configured (again, I think this was under Solaris) to have the focus
follow the pointer automagically. While it's not the way I'm used to
working, I could see how losing that feature could get REALLY
annoying, REALLY fast.
Is it possible to configure newer versions of Gnome to work this way?

Of course. I always set it to follow my mouse pointer, and to raise the
window focused on after about 0.5 seconds.
Select "Start"->UserPreferences->Windows and do what needs to be done.

Thanks!
I forwarded this response to him, and hopefully the mouse-slamming will
simmer down, if he gets the focus behavior he wants ;).
