an ISA card in a laptop...
or are you using a docking station?

It is a old laptop so it is only available to detect with isa. But it
works before. Debian was installed before and it works with alsaconf.
Fedora using alsa but not alsaconf as a detecting software I think. So I
am trying to find something else or must i download and compiling alsa so
then I use alsaconf as a tool

Try to do this but I think there something with io settings.
Still not working detecting by alsaconf. It seems if it detect but can't
write to normal config file

see text below:

Loading driver:
/usr/bin/alsaconf: line 880: start: command not found
Setting the PCM volume to 100% and the Master output volume to 50%
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such file or directory
Could not initialize the mixer, the card was probably
not detected correctly.
