cannot mount cdrom

| i cannot mount cdrom on Red hat AS3. Tested cdrom no problem on other
machine. can anyone help me to get cdrom read CD from the OS rather than
format/reinstall operating system.
here are the error mess:-
a) mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom @ mount /mnt/cdrom
Error message:-
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom,
or too many mounted file systems
(could this be the IDE device where you in fact use
ide-scsi so that sr0 or sda or so is needed?)

Try using just; mount /dev/cdrom
It's not possible to mount a UDF CD/DVD as an ISO9660 CD. Since the
CD/DVD device is known and configured all the rest of your mount
command is not needed. You still might not be able to mount this disc
anyhow since the disc seems to have errors; last session not closed,
bad block(s) and is multisession.

Use the application that created the disc and have it close the session
or the disc. Sorry I can't be more specific as I do not know how the
disc was created.
You could attempt (in Linux); cdrecord dev=<your_CD/DVD_device> -toc
<your_CD/DVD_device> should be the output of; ls -al /dev/cdrom
For example;
$ ls -al /dev/cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Sep 7 10:59 /dev/cdrom -> hdc
The cdrecord command would be in this case; cdrecord dev=/dev/hdc -toc
You might be able to simply use 'cdrecord dev=/dev/cdrom -toc' depending
on your version of the cdrtools. It is best to close the disc with the
same OS/application that created it in the first place.
Please note, since this seems to be a multisession disc by closing the
last session this way may result in unexpected results. The data from
other sessions may not be available and only the last session's data
will be visible. It might be a better idea to re-burn the disc as a
single session if possible.
