Hi,

I've a pentium-3, 830Mhz processor, Mercury 810E motherboard, 256MB Ram
system.

I've Win-2000 installed in my system. Recently installed Redhat 9.0. It
takes around 10 minutes to bootup and takes 5 minutes to open a folder
or terminal.

If i simply press restart button or switch off the sytem without doing
proper shutdown, and boot again into the linux, it runs very fast. But
if i do the proper shutdown and bootup it reuns very slow. I've
1GB-Swap space. and installed rest of the space mounted in root(/).

Any idea why it behaves like this?

Regards
Guru
