Hello,
I've got some win2k machines that i want to connect to my lan when
they're away, so i want to get a vpn going. I've set up a FreeBSD Unix box
with mpd 3.8 on it as the vpn server. I've created a vpn connection under
win2ksp4, but when i try to connect i am getting an error 741 "The local
computer does not support the required data encryption type". I am not sure
why on this point, chap and chap2 are selected, i've tried under the
security tab of the vpn properties both the "require encryption option" and
the "maximum encryption option" neither work, both return the above error.
Both machines are currently on the same subnet, i'd like to get this going
locally before i involve a firewall. Any input appreciated.
Thanks.
Dave.
