VPN does not forward traffic

I have set up Poptop VPN on Linux and im connecting to it using
Windows Xp built in soft. I can connect fine, but it seems like the
server isnt forward any data and i cant ping or access anything past
the server. Is it a problem with iptables or what? Can anyone point me
in the right direction?
