folks - I could really use some help!

I can browse the web without any problem, but when I try to use VPN I
got the following: Login failure due to: remote host not responding.

I have confirmed the reomote VPN server is up all the time.

What are the possible causes and what do you as the troubleshooting
steps?

Thanks in advance.

Dukeman.

We really need more info...

#1 Are you behind or using a firewall?
If so has that SW or physical firewall been config'd to
let your VPN sw pass thru work?

#2 For best support provide us a at least a basic idea how you are
connecting...
PC running 2000pro to Netgear Router to Cable modem
or
PC running XPHome with SP2 and firewall enabled to DSL modem
or
You get the idea
