VPN cannot select adapter

When setting up a vpn incoming connection in win2000 server it only lists
the Direct Parallel port LPT in the connection device window.
It worked last week but now the Lan adapter is missing in the selection
window.
Another client has the same problem on their w2000 server.

Also, how do I set it up so that two users can connect in at one time?
Currently it tells the second client that another connection of that type is
already connected.
