We have a VPN from Qwest, and are trying to set up Usenet service
with their news server. Is this possible? When I call Qwest, they
can't believe that a company in New Jersey can have a Qwest VPN.
This interferes with their technical support!

Today I got through to somebody at Qwest who could answer my questions.
The support page is:
