Dear All,

We're running a small business with four workstations currently, plus
I'm on the road a lot with a laptop. I'd love to be able to VPN in
while traveling. We're expanding the office, and may get to eight
workstations plus a couple of network printers, etcetera, so we're over
the eight port size router.

What is the best value and simplest option for setting up a VPN/Router.
We're running on cable modem for the office, currently with 512kbps
with a dynamic IP. Being based in mexico, a static IP is not really an
option as they cost almost as much as having an extra member of staff!

We look forward to your recommendations.

Thomas

Incidentally, we found this product and I wasn't sure if a VLAN is the
same as a VPN? Does this give me remote access to the company's LAN?

It's a Dell PowerConnect 2716.

The price is excellent at about US$200
