I use VPN client software to talk to the office from my home. Is there
a resonably priced router out there that can act as a VPN client and
route things to the office from my local lan so that I do not have to
have each machine on my LAN use the VPN software. cisco has a hardware
client which costs $700. I can by a SOHO VPN router for $50 but it
cannot act as a client. This seems like a simple feature to add to the
existing VPN software which is in such a box. Is there a box out there
that can do that? (And why does the cisco box cost so much?)

Draytek vigor routers are worth a look. Depends what sort of client you
are using now.
Cisco costs so much because they are the market leaders and get away
with it, too many people buy cisco just because they always have.
