VPN - vpn connection

I am trying to get a vpn connection from home to work.. I have never
had a problem before but now when I go to network connections and try
to add through create a new connection then you select connect to my
workplace and then the very next screen is connection vpn the next
screen is shaded and I can't go any further. Can anyone help me. I
am using Microsoft XP Professional.

Please help.
