The supposed "GSM" network, advertised to be the greatest thing, with
greater reception, is a lie.
Bottom line, they take your money for a high end $400 phone, charge you and
don't deliver service. When some ATT reps promise new phones and Billing
adjustments for poor or no service, those reps vanish, . never to be seen
again and the record of discussions in customer notes concerning those
arrangements they made, are purged from view.
ATT is lying in their advertisements about the quality and reception in
their "new" GSM network. They wish to make ordering a cell phone service to
be like gambling in VEGAS. Legally they want it to be a gamble to "migrate"
to GSM. That why they are NOT responsible.
When you cancel after non-existent coverage, they will still try to hit you
with $175.00 cancellation.
It is a trap. Now ATT in owned by Cingular.
When business practices are turned into abuse of people, then it needs to
be fought in court and complaints need to be made to the FCC.
