Problems With Thrasher Remailer
|
|
|
|
At first Thasher was pretty reliable for Usenet posting, but
for the past couple of days it has not been. Stats show
that it's up and running. Apparently some posts are not
disseminating very well - I saw them on one server I have
access to, but not on another. This is true both with
posts sent to M2N gateways and anon-post-to thru
NNTP. I've noticed that some of the NNTP has come thru
an Aussie news server - which may not disseminate well
in other parts of the world, but I don't know for sure.
Anybody else have any problems with Thrasher?

There was a post this week that Thrasher had no newline characters
between its headers and its body. Should be fixed now if I read the
thread correctly..

Hi
Sorry to hear you have been having problems.
By rights, only two groups should be sent to one of the Aussie
servers and a handful to the other. I omitted that in one of the
configuration files. I am pretty sure I have fixed the problem now.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

During the past several hours a Usenet post thru Thrasher and
dizum M2N gateway failed to appear on my primary news
server, but responses to the post did appear. I noticed that
the original post *did* appear on a secondary server I can
access. I have had no problems with posts thru M2N gateways
using other exit remailers making it to my primary server.
What do you suppose the problem could be? Obviously
nothing to do with Aussie NNTP servers.

Judging from some of the other posts in apas, it looks like someone
has been playing silly-buggers with Dizum. I can't say for sure, but
I would hazard a guess that has something to do with your problems.
