All of a sudden, when JBN goes to update stats (drule.org) the program
just shuts down! No errors, no nothing, just shuts down!

I tried a fresh download, and even downloaded the Panta mod, did a new
install to a new directory, ran the Panta Mod, still same thing. Even if
I choose a stat update site (anon.efga, publius.net, anon.lcs
etc..etc..) from the list, the program just shts down!

Anyone else had this problem with JBN?

If you are using the stats and key sources packaged with the downloaded
JBN, they are badly outdated - none of them are current and will not
work. You need to change to known good and current sources for stats
and keys before allowing the program to do these updates or do updates
manually.

Any chance you can provide me with a valid one AND the steps to change
them within JBN?

Thanks

Is this the same Stray Cat of yesteryear? From memory your headers are not the same.
The older Stray Cat always showed his email as straycat@nym.alias.net with a warning that
mail to that addrress would bounce as it was disabled.

Any comment?

Yes, its me. I've dropped off the net for the most part, no longer have
a full time connection or an Altopia account, etc. So I've been reading
and posting very rarely thru a borrowed dialup and Google.

How do you update the stats manually?

So you finally got a life apart from hanging out in APA-S ;-) I remember
you posting replies faster in this group than they would arrive at my
newsserver. You were the one that got me interested in remailers, an
interest that has never left me since.

Glad to see you are well,
Thomas
