Hi !
After a very long wait the Panta Rhei Reliable mod is finally on public
release.
Get the mod here: https://www.panta-rhei.dyndns.org/downloads/
It incorporates most of the modifications I could find on the web, plus a
few new features like a built in mail2news gateway and full hashcash
support as well as automatic dest-blocking with challenge response ;=),
broken chain generation in the stats, idlog cleanup and other useful
things.
I want to thank Thrasher Admin for patiently testing my pre-releases, I
dont think I would have got that far without him.
Currently the "Reliable mod Panta" operates Panta Rhei and Thrasher.
At the moment the sources are not public, after an initial
testing/bugfixing period they will be made public (est. a month).
In case you would like to know, all my mods and also the sources will be
released under the original license for Reliable (GNU General Public
License Version 2) which basically means it is free software and that you
can redistribute and/or modify it. Giving credit would be appreciated
though.
Please do some thorough testing, and inform me of your experiences.
Do not hesitate to let me know of any additional features you would like to
have incorporated.
I hope you folks like it,
Cheers,
panta-admin

Is this a drop-in replacement? Is there any documentation on the features
and how to use/implement and/or how to not use some of them?

You know that this designates you as the next target for Len Sassaman
and his squad of sock puppets and goons. Len Sassaman insists that he
is the *only* developer of a remailer server, same way Christman
insists he is the *only* developer of a remailer client.
It didn't help either that you pointed his last anti-Reliable
anti-RProcess piece as "deeply flawed".
CyberCrook Len Sassaman uses apas as a showrooms for his "expertise",
and recruit new clients for his little business of blackmailing and
extorsion. He won't tolerate your intrusion in his backyard.
Expect to be called a flooder and a pedophile any time now, and your
remailer to be flooded.
That was Frog-Admin's fate, and that will be yours.
Wait: you *are* Frog-Admin, aren't you?

It is, just unzip in your Reliable folder (make backups of 3 files first)
Its all in the readme included in the zip.
The features are explained on the PantaMod config page.
Check it out,
Cheers,

Hi !
>What's the URL for the PantaMod config page?
Sorry for being unclear. Its not a web page.
If you install the mod into your reliable folder you will get a new
reliable.exe
(remember to backup some files first, read the readme in the zip.)
If you run that, and open Options:Configuration you will see a new PantaMod
tab.
This is where all the settings for the mod are done. You can disable/enable
individual features and bugfixes, and set the parameters. An explanation to
each feature is shown in the box. By default the mod only enables well
published bugfixes.
To uninstall just restore your original files from the backup.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
panta-admin

So I noticed. :-)
I'm checking it out on a backup machine, so I'm not running it now, FYI.
I'd like to see the source when it's available. What's needed to compile it?
Thanks.
