As of last week or so, old format of mlist and rlist disappeared from
this newsgroup. Can we get it back, please ? There are plenty of people
using mixmaster client on various Unices. Postings about Quicksilver
and JBN in this very newsgroup don't reflect an accurate picture
of clients being used. We post in various newsgroups accros Usenet;
personaly I am using it for e-mail correspondence much more than for
Usenet postings.

It doesn't mean rlist.txt and mlist.txt are no longer needed just
because we don't discuss such clients in a.p.a.s.

Thank you.

I don't think there is anyone considering dropping support for JBN.
It is a very important program. I'm not sure why some may have
disappeared from the group. I don't follow that. It is probably
temporary. Take a look at this page and you will find all the stats
available form all sources. You'll see ther is plenty for you to
choose from.

The point of my original post was about dropping stats support for a
mixmaster for Unices;

> It is probably temporary.

I hope so, however, bikkiki and banana continue to post only 2nd
generation of stats; it means posting scripts work very well. I
am afraid and I smell discontinued 1st generation stats in a.p.a.s.

Yes I know about the page and where 1st generation of rlist and mlist
we can get from. Seeking fresh stats was not a point of my original
post;
newer format stats are available in a.p.a.s, but the 1st generation
format of stats are no longer here. Why ?

I am happy to post 1st generation stats each day along with the 2nd that
I currently do. My only reason for not doing so previously was to not
clutter apa-s with daily stats postings. What's the general consensus?

2nd Generation stats contain more information and in general are more
readable (for humans). Everything is there to compile a 1st Gen stats file from
these, whilst the converse isn't true.

I see that that now. Sorry for the confusion.
