Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales has announced that US allies will enforce a rule that all encryption
software will include a back door like PGP has been doing for a few years. The French stated that this
will have little effect on terrorist groups, as they rely on a network of as many as 20 couriers, and
take weeks even months to deliver a message. Remailers were not mentioned, but most know they can't be
trusted. He also announced a crack down on intellectual piracy. What does this mean to you, probably
nothing.
