This is periodic information about the services offered
at the Eelbash Remailer. It is posted to this newsgroup
once a week.

This information was last updated on: 06.10.2005

The Eelbash remailer is a last-hop remailer that
allows full custom 'from' headers, with no disclamers (except see
below), and runs 24x7.

Eelbash uses the panta-rhei hashcash 'resource', and requires 27
bits. Each token is good for 60 days. See the panta-rhei website to
download the hashcash minter.

If you post to a newsgroup without the hashcash token, the remailer
sends the message to a randomly chosen remailer.

The exceptions are posts to alt.test and alt.anonymous.messages
which
will go through with Eelbash as exit.

To get the eelbash remailer keys, send an email to
remailer@eelbash.yi.org, with remailer-key as the subject.

Rather than take a Manichaean approach to blocking
newsgroups, the remailer inserts a disclaimer into
messages going to the problem newsgroup, and blocks
the use of a custom 'from' header. I believe this
will often be enough to make the remailer unattractive
to people causing the problem for the newsgroup.

The Eelbash remailer blocks only as a last resort,
and even then gives users the option to continue
posting to the group anonymously by using a key.

To get a list of newsgroups that are blocked, or to which messages
sent via the remailer have a disclaimer added, send an email to:
remailer@eelbash.yi.org, with block-info as the subject.

If a newsgroup is blocked and you want to post to it,
email me anonymously with the 4-character key you
want to use, and I'll add it to the keyfile, usually
within an hour or two. Send the email to
admin@eelbash <dot> yi <dot> org.

Naturally, the key is removed before the message
is posted.

Hey Panta! He's ripping off your [INFO] post!, even ripping off your hashcash resourse!

idiot can't think of anything original.

I wish that smug little toad would get it into his thick head that nobody but
NOBODY ****EVER**** uses words like "Manichaean". Instead they'll just say
what the heck they mean in the first place.
