It looks like it's not practical to run hashcash as an m2n gateway, as long as I retain the extra processing for headers, flooding, duplicates, etc., and that's more useful than hashcash, so hashcash is kaput as far as the Eelbash remailer is concerned.

Thanks to Zax and the German gentleman for pointing out the dangers of using hashcash on anything but an m2n gateway.
