A little information may help.

In each Mercury module there is a history pane.
The output in the MercuryS module will appear as above when the
"Display session progress and debugging information" option is selected.
(Config | MercS | General [General])

If logging is enabled the log entry for the line:
[vbcol=seagreen]

would appear something like:

T 20051122 201245 123456a1 Connection closed with 221.169.56.134, 27 sec. elapsed.

Even when the debugging option is not selected,
the history is displayed as:

Connection from 70.89.231.62, Wed Nov 23 01:37:21 2005
2 sec. elapsed, connection closed Wed Nov 23 01:37:23 2005

Exactly right Bikikii. The session progress is displayed. About 12 messages
will scroll in and out of the window. I was writing an E-mail and noticed
the attempt. I had to hurry up and copy and paste it to notepad before it
scrolled off the screen. Once it scrolls off, it is gone forever.

Nope, no logs are kept. Nothing is written to a log file.

However, I do sometimes check the session progress to make sure I am not
operating as an open relay. I would be negligent if I did not periodically
check. Operating as an open relay is very, very bad. It would kill the
usefulness of the re-mailer forever.

I'll have to take Bikikii's word for what a log file entry would look like.
I have never even experimented with it from day one.

I hope that clears it up. When I said no logs, I really meant no logs.

Twisty Admin

Just one last note:

Please send an e-mail to remailer@twistycreek.com
Subject: remailer-help

I have just made a few changes to it to account for the checking I do to
prevent becoming an open relay.
