I am going to try and use this as an opportunity to learn something.
Gnupg says the signature is forged, but it has the correct ID for
Thrasher Admin.
Is it possible for someone to explain S L O W L Y how this was done?

Because you have the thrasher admin key on your keyring. The signature is
checked using that key. GnuPG then displays its report telling you that
using Key ID so and so it has determined that said message was not signed
by thrasher admin.
If you didn't have thrasher admin's key on your keyring GnuPG would report
the signer was unknown.

Cut the signature from an existing article and pasted it into
another article.

There's nothing too mysterious about it, someone simply cut and pasted a
valid signature from another message posted by Thrasher Admin onto the
bottom of this forgery. That gives the "Bad Signature" error from the
correct KeyID because that's what it is in reality. You can think of it as
someone tampering with a signed message, but in this scenario "tampering"
means removing the entire message body and replacing it with something
completely different.
This is a boring trick most often attempted by fat, bald men with sexual
inadequacy problems. Observe...

The message itself is directed at Ken Pangborn. It chastises him for some
of his well known behavioral problems, and exposes the fact that Ken is
whining at, and probably harassing Thrasher Admin by way of email.
A bit more than half a day later this amateurish attempt to portray
Thrasher Admin as a violent racists magically appears just... "out of the
blue". Posted through the same remailer Ken used to forge his infamous
"Bilbo" post no less.
Coincidence? Methinks not. But of course Ken will swear up and down he's
never used a remailer in his life. ;-)
