R Process. Where is he?

R Process was one of the great contributors
to privacy via his excellent software creations that
allow relatively easy, secure communications.
Though somewhat behind the current state of technology
e.g. lacking socks proxy, SSL capabilities,
Potato, JBN and Reliable are still in widespread use today.
They still have no peer in my book.

It has been a very long time since we have heard
from R Process, a true friend of privacy and liberty.

Is he alive, well and happy?
I hope so...

I also hope so, but RProcess did disappear without any word about it.
And because he was (pseudo)anonymous, no-one can e.g. contact his family
to see how he is. He could have gotten run over by a bus for all we
know! If everything was all right he sure would have let the group know
he was doing well and if he lost his key he might have participated in
the group under a new name (displaying much knowledge about Reliable and
JBN2).

Also remember that about the only other person who made remailing
available to windows users (Disastry) died in a mounting climbing
accident. To be frank, part of me gets paranoid by this. AFAIK, Richard
still uses a very old version of Mixmaster 2.9beta for Quicksilver.
Disastries demise sure is a great blow to the privacy community. More
even that the loss of RProcess if you asked me.

For me it means that I feel better in this group posting under my real
name. My parents life in Den Helder, like I do and my family e.g. lives
in Amsterdam ('Boschloo'). That said, I am not a great help to this
group and get things wrong from time to time ;-) And beside my parents,
I have a nephew at <http://www.nagtglas.com> who can also be contacted
should I disappear from this group.
