Host: panta-rhei.dyndns.org:2525 # Check port number
From: me@there.com
Chain: panta,*,apple2; copies=4
To: mail2news@freedom.gmsociety.com,

The above (extract) heading worked for a time but not for long in QS.

No more

Has Panta put a freeze on it maybe?

Any variations worth trying?

I also use QS. Nothing is moving again these past 24 hours. I've tried
every possible combination.

Hi !
[vbcol=seagreen]

No changes at Panta Rhei.
The remailer is ticking like clockwork.

Try:
telnet panta-rhei.dyndns.org 2525
in a command window. You should see the SMTP server. If you use TOR you
need to socksify telnet first.

If telnet fails to connect to panta you might have a problem with finding a
network route.
It works from here.

If telnet can connect to Panta Rhei but QS can not then there is a problem
in your QS config.
If QS sends the mail out, but it never gets posted, you might post to a
group not supported at the mail2news.
Check your newsgroups header, its very prone to typos. Maybe try panta,*,*
thus avoiding fixed exit node which might be down.
If all fails, try to send to an email address to see if there is a problem
with your chain, or send your post to alt.test via the panta m2news.

Cheers,
panta-admin

This is what "telnet panta-rhei.dyndns.org 2525" gives in QS:

Mixmaster Chain 1 of 5
Connecting...
Winsock Error: 11004 No Data
Aborting...
[vbcol=seagreen]

Where is *HERE?*
[vbcol=seagreen]

When the message header that have worked for weeks suddenly stops working,
and no changes were ever made to these headers, then the problem is
somewhere else.
[vbcol=seagreen]

They're not even getting to the test newsgroups.
[vbcol=seagreen]

Checked and rechecked. They're the SAME headers what worked great before.

Maybe try[vbcol=seagreen]

Tried that this morning. As of 3:36 PM (7 hours) they have yet to show up
on the test ngs.
[vbcol=seagreen]

Doesn't that need a hashkash token?
[vbcol=seagreen]

Thanks JS

I think you should read what Panta-Admin said again. You use Telnet
from the command window NOT add "telnet" to your QuickSilver Host:
header.
Select Start|Run and type in the word "command". This will open a
Command Window.
Now (from the command line) type in "telnet panta-rhei.dyndns.org
2525 and hit Enter
You should get a message something along the lines of "Connecting to
panta-rhei.dyndns.org". If you do, it means you are able to connect
and there isn't a problem Panta's end. Just type in "Quit" to end the
connection.

Cheers,
Thrasher

No problem sending through panta from here. And no, I won't tell you where
"here" is.

If nobody else is having the problem and we can't determine what might be
unique to you, you're on your own.

Thanks. It looks like I am unable to connect. I did as shown above and got
a "cannot open connection to the host. Connection failed."

Sorry, I didn't mean your actual location! :^)
I just checked and I see a few are making it that were sent last night. A
bit of latency there.

There should be a space before mail2news@dizum.com here. Not sure why it
didn't show up in your post here, but it might explain the 'no data'
error message.

=====================
Thanks Thomas, I'll make sure the space is there and try again.
