Bd, I'm the originator of the "JBN with Stunnel and Cotse"
thread here, and I've had the same problem. I'll even be
posting in a thread where I've limited my crossposts to 3
groups, and suddenly mid-thread my messages stop showing.
The fact that Italy now forbids all crossposts does NOT
explain the problem, as I've seen the same results with
Dingo and Thrasher and others: messages sent through remailers
with near 100 % reliablity never showing for no apparent
reason.
What I have seen, once, is that I've tried doing the same
from my nym account, what I get is a bounce from the mail2news,
with the error message (remembering) "invalid control character
[D] in subject line" or some other odd message, even though an
examination of my headers showed nothing amiss. What I've been
able to do, recently, for messages that never arrived is to *clear
and manually re-type* the info into subject and the newsgroups
lines and then they have shown.
I'm wondering, when I do the control-U in JBN, that some non-
standard characters or formatting used by someone's newsreader
gets copied into the headers and then causes a bounce at the
mail2news (of course, if you sent anon, you'll never see the
bounce message, so you'll be left in the dark). Zax said
something about his mail2news arrivals being due to malformed headers.
Maybe this is the reason?
BTW, Panta-admin: I've not posted anything to the Wiki about
JBN/Stunnel/Cotse because I can't get it to work reliably. It
seems that only 3 daily get through, I'm wondering if this
is because cotse throttles outgoing remailer mail at 3? That's
an awfully restrictive throttle if true.
