[ATTN] From header "tab" character (09 Hex & ASCII)

Hello Users,
Reliable will not pickup mail without a From header.
The use of the "tab" character (09 Hex & ASCII) in the phrase(display-name) portion
of the From Header Field Body will yield that condition.
As such the messages must be manually fed to Reliable resulting in mailing delays.
- From header showing "tab" character (09 Hex):

Does that mean a tab anywhere in the from header will result in the message being treated as though it had no from header? Or am I not understanding what you said?

This format will fail:
From:[tab]
Reliable looks for From header as:
From:[space]
I suppose I could modify the code of Retrieve.bas
First I'll need more information whether "From:[tab]" is even legal as a header.
Ciao!

You figure that one out! <g>
I spent too much time trying prior to my previous posting.
Ciao!

It seems like a legal header to me (look for wsp or whitespace character
IIRC). And I always learned that you should be very strict on send (ie
not use tabs since almost noone does) and to be very tolerant on
receiving (ie allow tab on incoming messages).
Ciao!
