Indeed! It seems to be adding a space in front of the subject resulting in
multiple "Re:"s, but other than it's great.

Thanks, amigo!

Apple's mail2news server also has the same problem. They both run
Reliable so it must be a bug in there. Perhaps Panta will fix it
in his mods?

Correction. The Apple2 remailer does not insert a space in the subject.
The newsgroup@bigapple.dynalias.net does, but does not use Reliable to
do the job. Maybe this new gateway adds a space?

Amigo does not run Reliable.

What software does the Apple2 gateway use. Maybe the Amigo
gateway runs the same software?

What software are you using that adds this extra space?

My mistake. I must have got it mixed up with another remailer.

My guess is that it does.

It does.

So why doesn't apple run a traditional mail2news with
newsgroups: style header (or does it)?

I don't. Running the remailer is enough for me to have to deal with.

I thought you did run a mail2news server, just using a different
method to to everyone else. I just wondered why you ran it
differently rather than by the standard method.

The standard method, using DNews, is trivial after all:

#getmail.conf

get header="Newsgroups:" user=username pass=password
pop=pop3.mail.server

username, traditionally, being mail2news.

I do.

Just to be different and to provide an alternate to the mit.edu one.

Yes, I'm aware of that. But for now I'm sending enough traffic upstream.
However, I am considering doing it sometime in the future.
