Author Regarding Poster Argus....

Argus is the handle I used a few years back when I first constructed
the QuickSilver tutorial site. The present Argus is NOT Bluejay.

Just thought I'd straighten that out for the few who might be
wondering.

I doubt Bluejay gives a crap about mixminion altogether.
There's an apas tradition in which everybody points a finger at who they think an anon poster is, but when the differences are so overwhelming it becomes really laughable.

BTW, the string passed to mixminion in my client winds up looking something like this:
send -t addr "from=frm" "subject=subj" "references=ref" etc.
Just took awhile to figure out where to stick the quotes.

Yes. I've already managed to get some SURBS functions coded.
Create SURB, Decode SURB msg, 'reply with SURB'
(with ability to select from a list of SURB files)
and 'Delete SURBfile' to dispose of used / expired SURB files.
Eventualy I'd like to come up with a full blown SURBs manager.

Still got some bugs to chase out though.

Stop trolling. Unless you know of some undocumented way to feed the
subject to mixminion, it won't work on 3.x/9x/2K/XP/2003!

Period!

I used to hate a guy calling himself Argus back in 2002. He also kindly
mentioned on his homepage on how to 'filter' the flood in Agent by
putting my name in a global filter.

Anyways, I still have some trash from that Argus guy on my homepage:

At first I couldn't see the relevance between the stored articles, but
after a closer look they all seem to have an 'Latent-Time: +00:00'
header. Just how lame can you get Argus/Bluejay!

We're not trolling. [Anon] The Other Tester is I think working in xp,
I am working in win98se.

As for how.. grab a dos box and try this:

cd:c:\mixminion
md ~ 'mixminion needs that dir if it's working in MsDos
mixminion send -t user@address.com --subject="subject line"

All it needed was the double quotes. I got that hint when a *nix user
showed an example of how it's done there... with single quotes.
MsDos didn't like single quotes but it swallowed double quotes just fine.

It works fine in XP. The thing that doesn't work is running mixminion
and then using it's interactive command prompt to send it.

This works okay on XP.
c:\mixminion>mixminion send -t user@address.com --subject="subject line"

Running mixminion first and then typing the "send -t " command into
the interactive command prompt that mixminion has *doesn't* work. That
doesn't matter much though.

OK, I'll bite:

In previous posts you've indicated that you are creating your
mixminion gui in VB. As there's a typical apas tradition of
pointing fingers at who we think anon posters are, are you
RProcess? Your conversational style reminds me of him, and as
you've also decided to use VB like RProcess, I was curious...
