Where to go to start learning?

| Gentlemen,
Am requesting a pointer to beginner tuition on a web site that can be
relied on for sound advice. Mac user but not Mac newbie, only anonymity
newbie.

You could try Mixfit

but you will probably have more luck with Mixmaster 3.0b2 for *nix
compiled under Mac OS X <http://mixmaster.sourceforge.net/>.
Mixfit is old and probably has old stats. You can find all (current)
pingers at <http://www.noreply.org/allpingers/>
You can also try handroling with PGP..
