| My Hod NYM worked fine before I had to change it right up to July 8, 2005.
In fact, the last time I changed my Hod Nym, December 14, 2004, it worked
fine and I did receive a confirmation message (see below). It's only now,
after I changed ISP's and I was forced to change my return email addy, that
it doesn't work anymore. I think the Hod Nymserver admin "upgraded" his
software and now it's not compatible with JBN anymore. BTW, I also am
using other Nymservers and I was able to modify my Nyms on them no problem.
It just happens that my main NYM, the one I use for all my buying, etc...,
is my Hod NYM. I also liked Hod the best because it was the fastest. Now
I can't even use it anymore! I have repeatedly emailed the Hod admin and
he doesn't bother answering me. There's something wrong when you try to
modify your Hod Nym or when you create a Hod Nym. It looks like the Hod
Nymserver Admin doesn't care enough to look at this problem.
Also, JBN is now 5 years old. I'm sure parts of the JBN code are older
than that. Someone really needs to upgrade the JBN code. For example, JBN
will crash (IPF) on my system about 5 minutes later if I copy my text from
my word processor into JBN. I think it has something to do with the text
fonts because it crashes in module RICHED32.DLL. JBN should really have a
spell checker so we don't need a word proc. The JBN windows and the way
the "View Mail" window is set up are pretty primitive. JBN needs to be
compatible with PGP 9 now, not just 6.5.8. In the message and nym creation
books, the remailer stats should show up when you click on them or arrow
down through them. JBN is a nice program but it needs upgrading. I guess
none of this will ever happen. People forget that without a program for
the endusers, the nymservers are useless because few will bother using
them.
