Author Another Fix In For the Fastpost Service
Joe Admin

2005-08-14, 5:46 pm

Someone mentioned a week or so ago that he could not use the service to
send messages with the 'to' field like:

alias_Joe.Blow|someisp.comm_alt.privacy.anon-server..alt.privacy..misc.test..alt.test..alt.test.testing@newsanon.yi.org

I finally got around to spending some time on it, and it turned out that
the 'to:' field was being split in two because of its length, and
that my software wasn't taking that into account.

I put a fix in which should take care of the problem unless the 'to'
field is really long.

Who cares?

I mean seriously dude, I've read a lot of the stuff about you and your
many incarnations as a remop and I do have serious questions that I
would like you to address.

Why do you continue in spite of the fact that as far as I can tell, you
are almost universally hated and not trusted at all by anyone that I
can tell.

I've read a lot of the stuff from the last three years of a.p.a-s and I
can only conclude that even Frog Admin was not hated as much as you
are. He was obnoxious, and did things that pissed a bunch of people
off, but you have surpassed him by a long way when it comes to how much
you are hated and reviled.

Why have you not simply quit and gone on do to something you're not
hated and mistrusted for.

Why the hell should I answer questions from someone who is so
appallingly vulgar that he uses 'dude' as a form of address?

Here is some more of that mighty storied ego we all saw when he was
announcing his superiority before. So it looks like most of us are inferior
to Eelbash in maturity, intelligence, our racial purity, and now, we find
out, in our deportment!!

Please, Lord Eelbash, forgive the transgression of referring to you as
'dude' and please find it in your heart to answer the questions put to you
by your unworthy inferiors.

Oh, I don't know, I thought that perhaps you might actually be
interested in convincing even ONE person that you're not *quite* as bad
as you and others have made you out to be. That perhaps you might have
some redeeming qualities or motivations.

However, I see that instead of accepting simple questions asked with
the genuine intention of trying to understand you and why you're doing
what you do, you'd rather react with an obnoxious attitude, implying
that because I use 'dude' as a form of address that i'm not worthy of
an answer.

Well, dude, you've answered my questions without even trying.

Dude, you do this shit because you honestly believe that you're better
than the rest of us. You actually believe you're smarter, even though
you've managed to XXXX up a remailer and your own reputation more times
than even the worst Frog Admin managed to pull.

Well, dude, you've got a wake up call coming someday. I only hope that
it doesn't kill you. Though sadly (believe it or not), it probably
will be a painfull death for you. i.e. sombody's gonna stop your clock
some day because of your attitude.

As a side note, I would like to propose to all of a.p.a-s that now and
forever you be referred to as either "dude" in memory of this post, or
"Assholeus" to describe your attitude.

Too bad dude. If you'd been civil, you might have had somebody willing
to consider you something besides a XXXX up. As it is dude, you've
probably just XXXXed up your last chance at social redemption in usenet.

Dude, I wonder about one other thing , are you as much of an obnoxious
XXXX IRL as you are here? If you are it's a wonder you have any non-
broken bones.

The ironic thing, is that 'dude' is commonly used to refer to someone
in a friendly fashion...as a compatriot or comrade. Too bad that all
you could do was make me regret trying to understand you. 'sokay dude,
I won't be making that mistake again. Sad thing is that I expect
nobody else is going to try.

You live a lonely life, don'tcha dude? Just you and your right hand
(Mrs dude)

We shall use "Your Highness" or "Your Majesty" henceforth.

Do you have some strange definition of the word 'dude' that the
rest of us don't?

Allow me to apologize for my remark; it was ungracious and uncivil.

I sincerely wish you had made that determination before you hit send.
