Please is there a way to send anonymously a post reply to a newsgroup?

that is: how can I make a reply show correctly in the thread, below the
original (but not first in thread) message i want to reply?

many thanks, links are welcome too

You don't say if you are using client software like JBN or QS. If you
are, check the help files as the procedure is explained fully in both
programs.

If you are formatting your own message (hand rolling) the procedure is
as for any usenet post but you must include the message ID of the
message you are replying to under a Reference: header and insert Re: in
front of the subject. Using your message as an example, your final
headers would include the following:

References: <430BA80A.7E8C69BA@invalid.com>

wops, I was using message-id instead of references, now it should work
thanks again
