Using GPGShell with JBN & Reliable

I'm migrating from PGP to GnuPG, I understand that Reliable and JBN both
need to use PGP. But I'm wanting to consolidate all keyring management in
GPGShell.
I used PGP's options dialog to set the keyrings to pubring.gpg and
secring.gpg instead of pubring.pkr and secring.skr
I then reboot so that everything can start up with the new settings. The
GPG keyrings have all of the correct remailer & nymserver keys (obtained
with remailer-xxx emails to make sure they're right and current)
Now however, anything sent by reliable apparently goes into the bit
bucket.. even pings are never seen again.
Any ideas what I need to do to make this arrangement work?
thanks
