Where in Mercury would I enter the pop3 server name
for my domain? I gather it's mail.mydomain.org, but
I'm not sure where that goes.

There are several places where the configuration
asks, "Announce myself as:" and I've been
putting "mydomain.org." Should I put "mail.mydomain.org"?

I feel like I'm asking which part of the hammer is
used for screws. Somehow I'm really missing something
in the whole concept.

You have made this all far too complex.
Seting up a Reliable/Mercury remailer is much easier than what you are going through.

If you would like I can assist.
However you will need to send to me encrypted mail and your public key.
I will want specifics, none of this "mydomain.org" , "xx.xxx.xxx.73" , "34.345.34.345" silliness.

Ciao!

Since you have no MX record I posted.

The Subject is "[Persona] Re: Sending and receiving with Mercury".
In the newsgroups alt.privacy.anon-server , alt.test and alt.anonymous.messages

Here it is at Google:
http://groups.google.com/groups?sel...@bikikii.ath.cx

These are the message IDs:

news:1893464453B@bikikii.ath.cx

news:189349E12CF@bikikii.ath.cx
news:18934802700@bikikii.ath.cx

Some servers carry the messages, some do not.
They are on news.bananasplit.info and news.x-privat.org
