Is that you again EElbash? If it is I don't think it will help you much
because I think it's only good for incoming mail. You would be looking to
filter outbound, wouldn't you?

What bayesian filter? There is no such built in function.
There is a third party daemon named "SpamWall" available.
However implementation in a remailing environment makes little sense.

Ciao!

Of course. If mercury's filters miss some spam, the Bayesian might catch
it. It seems like it should be a standard tool of every remailer operator,
but who knows?

One thing I find odd is that a filter only works on inbound. If there is a
stream of messages, why is it possible to filter only if the stream is
inbound?

Mailservers can apply filters both ways.

Certainly not you Eeelbash!

it's not odd at all. The filter works on inbound to protect the accounts that server deals with. outbound filtering is strictly off limits and pointless when remailer traffic is encrypted.... and even most exit traffic is encrypted.. the only common ex
ception to that is when exit traffic is headed to a mail2news gateway, and then the sender is well advised to choose her exit remailer very carefully. (i.e. NOT eelbash)
