Author NewsAnon "References:" Function?

Just wondering if there's a patch -- or if one could be
kludged -- to add a "References:" field in standard
e-mail messages sent through NewsAnon. NewsAnon seems
to be working pretty well now, but if you can't work
out a way to add a "References:" field, it's not useful
for participating in Usenet threads, only originating
them. There's no way of adding this field to webmail
message headers and it is pretty rare to see it
possible in mail clients.

A "Cutmarks:" field wouldn't be bad, either.

Is there a way to, say, detect added header directives
at the top of a message body, like:

##
References: <blahblah.7646thhh@anonymous.se>
Cutmarks: +++

Thanks for any help!
