Author anonymouse cancel/supersede messages?

Are there any M2N gateways that will post control-cancel or
control-supersede messages?

How can these be posted anonymously (through remailers)?

Thanks.

I don't think you will find any remailers or gateways that will post
any control headers, given the long and ancient history of abuse this
mechanism has.

The Jerry Garcia and Tickle Me Unigrouper groups per chance?

Hello SC, long time... I hope all is well with you.

I don't know by who or where the Garcia newgroup banner was done - have
a lool at isc, but IIRC the Tickle Me Unigrouper one was done on
Altopia when they still allowed control newgroups. I wouldn't call that
really abusive since most other servers didn't honor non-human reviewed
newgroups, so little harm was done. It's forged cancels that are
frequently abused, and allowing these to work via remailers would
almost certainly be highly abused.

I'm doing OK.

That's all you punks need is a remailer (M2N) that accepts Control: headers.
It's not bad enough that you cowards hide behind remailers to harass and rat
out people, now you want to cancel their posts.
Get a real life, "LOSER".

No, I want to *anonymously* cancel or supersede posts that *I* have
made anonymously.

But I can understand why you might have jumped to the wrong conclusion.

This message was sent via two or more anonymous remailing services.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing OK.

I thought Mad Hatter created the Jerry Garcia and the Tickle Me
groups.

If there's a way to abuse something, someone will find it and create
havoc for all who do not. For example: gun laws, liquor laws, smoking
laws, drug laws, laws ad infinitum....

This fragment shows your knowledge about remailers pretty well.
Repeat after me: Remailers are not mail2news Gateways.

"me qsuser" is a tired old troll who has been trying to disrupt the
remailer network for a long time. He is a FUD spreader, a liar, and not
quite as clever as he would like to believe he is.

Ignore him.

Stray Cat

Hatter did/started the Tickle Me groups, but I don't think he finished
them. He didn't do the Garcia stuff. No telling who really did them,
but you never know, look around up on isc for the control messages and
see.

The obvious problem with that is, the original post being anonymous, it's
impossible to know that you are in fact the person who made it. If it's
allowed for "you" it's automagically allowed for "all", and that means
that your motives are essentially irrelevant and everyone else's are
allowed to come to fruition. That could be a very bad thing.

>
> But I can understand why you might have jumped to the wrong conclusion.

There's really only one conclusion to jump to. Why would you need to
cancel anything that's been posted anonymously? It can't be tied to you,
so there's really no valid reason for allowing anyone to cancel their
anonymous posts in the first place.

The only logical motivation for dealing with an anonymous post in any way
at all beyond reading it or ignoring it, is the possibility that it might
bode poorly on you. That could be your fault, or someone else's. The more
likely of the two is that someone posted something anonymously that
attacks you, and you'd like to make it go away. It may even be justified,
but that's beside the point. Asking about canceling your own anonymous
posts just doesn't make much sense at all...

Actually, I think it's come full circle and "Me" is pretty much making fun
of himself and his past antics.

That would be great, wouldn't it?

You assume he has the intelligence to do that. It's far more likely
that he is still being an idiot.

That's possible.

It may be I'm being misled by his relatively low-volume levels of idiocy.
In that case I'm sorta disappointed by the effort. <grin>

They can be if they support Post and send to their own usenet server.
Like Frell, Thrasher, and Banana.
