Hi

I have installed TOR but can find a configuration file or something.

I read that TOR changes the route every 10 min. Is there a way to set
this time lets say 1 hour ? So that the exit node IP dont change ?

Thanks

Yes, by setting the option MaxCircuitDirtiness in your config file. By
default it's 10 minutes.

As to the location of your configuration file, it would depend on the
operating system you are using. In Windows, look in the Start Menu
under Tor for something like torrc.

If the only reason you need the exit node IP to stay the same is because
some web site logs you out when it changes, consider using the option
TrackHostExits. It would keep the same exit node for each site, but still
change your route to that exit node every 10 minutes.

- From memory, in WinXP and the like, it defaults to \tor\torrc in whatever
path is set in your APPDATA= enviroment variable.
