I purchased Anonymizer (retail box) in Nov. 2005 from Fry's
Electronics: $25
Rebate: $25
Net Cost: $0
The box contained Anonymizer 2005 (v1.5).
I called their tech support to get an upgrade to Anonymizer v6.0.
They promptly gave me a link to download the new version, for free.
v6 has a nicer user-interface & more options compared to v1.5, but
it appears to require much more resources to run on my laptop.
All my requests for support were replied to - fast & courteous.
But I do have a problem downloading .zip files with Anonymizer (v1.5 or
v6.0) turned ON.
The downloaded .zip files are corrupted.
They were not able to replicate this problem.
I've also sent e-mails from Yahoo! to certain friends with Anonymizer
turned ON.
Some of those e-mails were not received.
The target domain may be blocking the anon server.
Your mileage may vary.
