Speaking from personal experience here...that law doesn't mean a damn
thing. Believe me, I had the highest of hopes for it in my own
dealings with Spangler and her gang of thugs. It's feel-good
legislation and will no doubt be taken seriously only when the most
terrifying cases of "annoyance" are happening. Cops simply don't have
the time or the resources to track down a grudge match between two
idiots on Usenet. I speak from painful experience here. My eyes were
opened...wide...as far as "Internet stalking/harassment" is concerned.
Short of death threats, cops seem content to let it be a matter for the
civil courts.

The only way the person could be "busted" is if a death threat is made,
and one hasn't. What Us is posting, no matter how unethical, is public
record and the fruits of some pretty impressive sleuthing. What Us is
advocating is wrong, but really, after what Spangler and Friends did to
me and so many others, I would think that she would be the last person
to seek prosecution. I mean, come on. What if it turns out that Us is
one of her many victims (which I would imagine would be the case)? I
wonder if they would have room in the jail cell for both Us and Spangle?
