| I am looking for a way to create an email & put it somewhere for sending on a future date unless I cancel it.
I would want to send the mail through remailers.
I found a mail scheduling service that doesn't require confirmation but it sends HTML mail.
Setting up a server with SMTP & a cron job is an option, any other ideas?
Thanks,

It's a piece of cake with JBN. Simply use CPunk directives.

How would you cancel it?

You might want to check out Remind:
http://www.roaringpenguin.com/pengu...urce_remind.php
It's designed as a sophisticated calendar program but it can also
trigger events in the same way as cron.

Google around for what was called a deadman's switch email service.
There were in years past a few of these services out there. Maybe one
of them is still running. One thing that may be problematic with
routing the message thru remailers is that you can not anticipate one
or more remailers changing keys or just dropping off the net altogether
in the future, assuming you can even set things up to use remailers.

Thanks to you & the others who posted.
The services your search found are either dead or programs installed on the user's machine. I'm looking for something independent of my local computer because I'm thinking of my system being seized or comprimised & me being gagged from warning affected pa
rties.
Changes in the remailer keys wouldn't be a problem because I would compose a new message every so often.
I'll keep looking & post if I find a solution.

I should have been clearer - I want something not on my local computer.
Here's a possilble situation:
My desktop computer has been seized or compromised and I am gagged (physically or legally) from warning affected parties.
If I had a warning mail already composed (on some other system) which will be sent on some schedule then the affected parties would be warned when I am unable to cancel that mail. If I am OK then I can keep cancelling the mail & creating a new 1 for a lat
er send date.
Thanks,

Look around for a free shell account that allows cron jobs. I know of
one, but I'd rather not give it out. ;) I'm sure a little Googling
would turn up something for you.
Drop your already encapsulated Mixmaster message on the server along
with a script that tested for the existence of some file. Call it
DEADMAN or something. If the file exists, the script deletes it and
exits. If it's not there, the script 'sendmail -t' sends the message, or
whatever's available for mail transport.
Run the script as a cron job and just log in between every job and
invoke 'touch DEADMAN' to recreate the file. Doesn't matter if it's zero
byte, it just has to exist. The whole thing would be quick and easy
other than moving Mixmaster messages around, and you could automate
that on your end if you wanted, along with the periodical 'touch' if
you thought having it run that way would be secure enough for you (the
people that grab your machine might see the automated task).
The bonus is you could pipe all your sessions through Tor and be
anonymous to the SSH server. Moving files around could be done really
easily with a decent FTP client that did sFTP, again through Tor.

Contact your local Al-Qaeda representative. This is
the method they allegedly use to communicate.

This is a clever idea, I'm going to hit Google looking for a server. I imagine it will be tough finding 1 that allows cron jobs & outgoing mail but it's worth a shot.
