QS is almost unusable now, with so many remailers non-functioning.
It seems that the better ones such as twisty and frell are now, for
some reason, out of service.

Readers, kindly post to ng, those few remailers that are still
working, especially those that permit "From".
TIA

btw, isn't this a matter of updating the mixmaster files type2.list,
pubring.mix, mlist.txt and rlist.txt?

What, might I ask, has QS got to do with remailers not working? My
QS is working quite well and has nothing to do with whether the
remailers are working or not. Remailers metacola, twisty, dingo, and
quite a few used in random chains are working just fine. The time is
a little lengthy due to latent-time, but all in all I have had no
problem with QS or the working remailers.

I just ran a test using the following exit remailers, and the
three m2n gateways below.

All messages made it through the remailers and at least two of
the gateways.

The dizum gateway may have a problem, because the messages going
through austria, eelbash, cripto and metacolo did not make it
through dizum, although they did through the other two gateways.

All in all, it looks like the remailers are back to normal.

I use QS everyday without a problem. I just keep up with the news here
of which remailers are having a problem and "bar" them until I see news
that they are straightened out again.

Nothing wrong with doing that, but the system should do it for you if
you are maintaining regular stats. Are your MINREL and RELFINAL
parameters set to reasonable values?
