Finding multiple key sets

| Greetings all.
When looking for keys for some of the anon servers, I sometimes manage to
find two or even three sets of keys for the same server. For example, when
searching the MIT server for keys for a few of the servers, I find two sets
of CPunk and two sets of Mix keys. Using the Cpunk keys as an example one
set might be dated 15 September 2002 and another set dated 10 October 2002,
with both sets still valid, not expired and neither having been revoked.
Is the safest thing to do always to use the set with the latest date? When
there are 2 sets and both sets are valid, not expired and not revoked, I'm
wondering if 1) both sets still work; and 2) why am I finding 2 sets of
keys for the same server anyway.
regards.

The best way to go is to send email to the remailer with the subject
"remailer-key"
it will autoreply with it's keys.. use those and no others.

Fact is that you know nothing about the issuer of the remailer keys you
use. A date field can easily be manipulated to match any date.
That said, there are two kinds of keys. RSA keys and DH keys. Most CPunk
remailers have both. There should only be one mix key for Mixmaster traffic.
I would use the one with the latest date, or download a whole keyring
from a site listed in http://www.noreply.org/allpingers/
