Bruce Schneier was kind enough to mention it in his cryptogram today.

What worries me about Darkweb is that it won't just be used on Islamic
terrorists. In time it will be used on *us* and on our *children*. And
it will by that time be used to capture, interrogate and torture us
because *it has proved very effective in the past*.

A computer telling a law enforcement officer if someone is guilty. We
might as well stop educating judges since we will all be *enemy
combatants* in a couple of decades.

Not to mention that people can be mimicked anonymously and by deduction
get attributed to those mimicked posts. I saw it happen in APA-S this
very week.

Maybe it is good if anonymity does not exist anymore. To safe *us* from
our designated *protectors*. I have spend a couple of days in an
isolation cell. And I do not care to spend the rest of my life in there
with the occasional distraction of questioning and torture by people who
*do good for the public*!

everything you do is probably videotaped anyway because you're a board
certified leech on society who is too disgusting to ever have a shot at
reproducing.

I agree. As XXXXed up as Boschloo is, he has a mental illness and
seems to do the best he can to get past it.

That scumbag who stalks him is malevolent.

Nah. The only people really despised here are Eelbash, Adminus, and all
their sock puppets.

Trolls and venom spewers are just an annoyance. Fire up a spliff or
something and take a break if it bothers that much. ;-)

It's just the tip of the iceberg. Listening bugs can now pick out one voice from dozens in a crowded room. Face recognition software can pick one man out from a crowd. Cameras, microphones, and transmitters are so small, once in place they are virtually u
ndetectable. Listening bugs are now not much bigger than dust motes. Even windowpanes act like microphones as they vibrate with the sound of a voice - no inside bug needed if they really want to know something.

We are moving toward a society in which everything that is not required is forbidden and everyone is guilty of something.

Ho ho, this is interesting. I'm not sure anyone here is familiar with
the Markov chain algorithm. As I recall, it uses writing as it's
input. It generates a table of the probability that a certain word
will occur in the writing, then you can use that table to produce new
text. The fascinating part is that the output, while complete
gibberish, will mimic the writing style used in the source text.

It would be interesting to see how the aforementioned software would
fare in the face of such an algorithm.

It is just a neural net with some inputs and outputs.

No-one knows for sure what it is doing but it seems to work very well so
they keep it.

Note how neural nets are not used for serious stuff by judges and
medical practitioners. They need the software to give a deduction on how
they arrived at their conclusions, with neural nets cannot do.
