My Anonymizer package does not seem to work when playing Yahoo! Chess. The
Flash player starts up ok, but when I try to enter a Yahoo chess room, I get
a message which states:
"You have an old version of the client in your cache."
"You will need to restart your browser and come back to retrieve the current
version."
"If restarting does not work, manually clearing your browser's cache should
fix the problem."

I have the identical problem with the latest versions of both Firefox and
IE. If I do not use Anonymizer, the Yahoo Chess player works ok.

Is there any chance Neomailbox's anonymous surfer might not have the same
problem?

I guess I can answer my own question. I purchased Neomailbox's anonymous
surfer system, and it DOES work with Yahoo! Chess. I am still curious why
Anonymizer will not function properly with Yahoo! Chess.

Yahoo chess is a Java application. No proxy on earth will work with it,
even Tor. Whether or not it runs and you can do something is
irrelevant, that Java applicatioin is sending your real IP address back
to Yahoo anyway.

Probably an abuse issue. It's very likely that there's been multiple
incidents of people using Anonymizer to pump up their ratings, harass
people who have soundly defeated them, etc. Yahoo chess probably just
blocked Anonymizer.com as a result.

Honestly, I can't think of any other reason you'd want to be anonymous
to play chess anyway. <shrug>

You seem very certain of your answer. Is there a web site somewhere, running
a Java application, which I could access and it in turn would display my IP
address?
